Description

A boat with a massive weight is submerged to a greater depth in water.

Equipment

  • plastic bowl
  • 4L beaker
  • water
  • donut-shaped heavy disc

Instructions

Place plastic bowl in the beaker of water. Slowly insert the weight into the bowl without tipping it over. The "boat" will slowly sink but will stay afloat on the water's surface.
