PIRA index: 2C50.30
Description
A "water-wheel" (turbine) attached to a drill is used to generate a whirlpool in a bucket of water sitting atop the rotateable platform. The platform will begin to rotate due to conservation of angular momentum.
Equipment
- turbine attachment
- cordless drill
- bucket filled with water
- rotateable platform
Instructions
Place bucket filled with water on the rotateable platform. Create a whirlpool by spinning the water-wheel (turbine) inside the water while holding the platform steady. When the whirlpool has sufficient velocity, remove the water-wheel.
