Back to 5J - Inductance
PIRA index: 5J20.21

Description

An inductance resists change in current therefore it has a very high resistance value in a circuit that just has switched on. A lamp in series with the inductance will initially receive no current while the lamp in parallel receives all the current.

Equipment

  • Lights and big inductance setup
  • DC power supply

Instructions

  • Connect the setup to the power supply and set its voltage to 12 V.
  • Flip the switch.
